"I am very passionate about care of the older person and have spent my entire working life in this field.

I enjoy my role as Director of Nursing, it allows me to make a differnce in the lives of my residents, and their families, by creating a warm and caring home, with an engaging and responsive environment.

But also in the lives of the staff by ensuring their work is vauled, helping them to develop in their chosen carer, and most importantly having a positive, nurturing and open work culture."

Director of Nursing

Teagan MacAodhagáin is the Director of Nursing in Woodlawn Manor. Teagan has worked exclusively in care of the older person since graduating as a nurse, and has been a Director of Nursing since 2018. Teagan is registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board as a General Nurse and as a Nurse Tutor, with a MSc in Healthcare, an MA in Counselling and Pastoral Care, and an MPhil in Intercultural Theology and Interreligious Studies. Teagan has also completed a Leadership and Management Course.

As Director of Nursing Teagan is responsible for the day-to-day running of Woodlawn Manor, the recruitment and selection of staff, the implementation of all policies and procedures and overseeing the care and wellbeing of all residents.

Teagan is joined by a dedicated team of nurses, Administrative Staff, Care Assistants, Activity Coordinators, Catering and Housekeeping staff and other multidisciplinary members in providing high-quality, person-centred care to all residents.
